Fisher’s undergraduate team of Chris DiYanni, Zachary Messenger, and John Weiler won the YOUniversity Deal Challenge in New York City in April 2011. The event was sponsored by Duff & Phelps, a leading global provider of financial advisory and investment banking services.
The competition challenged students from schools across the country to solve a complex business problem in the areas of mergers and acquisitions advisory, transaction opinions, dispute consulting, and valuation advisory. The team was presented with a scholarship award of $15,000.
The team was advised by Sergey Chernenko, assistant professor of finance at Fisher.
