Accounting Faculty Ranked Second In The
World For Research Output
Led by faculty in Fisher’s Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS), Ohio State ranked second in the world for contributions to accounting research journals over the past six years.

The 2010 rankings, based on the study “Accounting Program Research Rankings by Topic and Methodology” in Issues in Accounting Education, reflected articles published in 11 leading journals. More than 500 schools from across the globe were ranked according to their research contributions.

The work of Accounting and MIS faculty also led to high rankings in a number of different categories identified in the study. Ohio State ranked first in published articles that used analytical research techniques. In the areas of managerial accounting and financial accounting, Ohio State ranked second and fourth, respectively. In all, 20 Fisher faculty were credited with contributing research.
