|Fisher graduate programs receive top-ten rankings, MBA programs stand-out|
|Graduate programs in Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University made solid gains in U.S. News and World Report’s rankings with three programs placing in the top 10 in the magazine’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools” guide.
The full-time MBA program made substantial gains this year rising to number 21 (and 6th among public universities) from 26th place last year and 30th previously. In a new ranking of part-time MBA programs, Fisher was ranked 10th among 314 schools offering the program. Fisher’s Production and Operations program climbed to 10th from 14th place since last year, and Supply Chain/Logistics was ranked eighth, falling one place over last year.
The U.S. News rankings also revealed Fisher’s national leadership in employment outcomes of its graduates. Fisher’s post-graduation employment rate soared above nearly every MBA program ranked by the magazine. Ninety percent (90.3%) of our full-time MBA graduates were employed three months after graduation, placing Fisher second nationwide of the top 30 business schools ranked in the guide.
“We are pleased that these rankings recognize our programs’ strengths,” said Christine A. Poon, Fisher’s dean and John W. Berry, Sr. Chair in Business. “However, they are just one measure of success. As a college, we continue to strive to offer innovative programs, high-impact research and teaching, all of which will develop high-quality graduates with the knowledge, skills and global perspectives required to be effective leaders.”
A hallmark of the Fisher MBA experience is a small, flexible program within a large research university. The Fisher MBA provides a challenging curriculum that emphasizes development of leadership, ethical and sustainable business strategies and innovation and teamwork skills.
“The rankings of our full-time and working professional MBA programs represent a strong, public affirmation of the quality of our programs and that is very rewarding,” said Karen Hopper Wruck, associate dean for graduate programs and Dean’s Distinguished Professor of Finance. “At Fisher, our success is very much the result of an effective team effort. We have great students, world class faculty, terrific staff, wonderful facilities and we are part of a great university. This is a powerful mix.”
