Volunteer Tax Alerts and Quality Site Requirements:

All VITA volunteers are responsible to stay current on the Volunteer Tax Alerts and Quality Site Requirements published periodically by the IRS during filing season. The most common issues affecting our center will be discussed prior to each shift, but each volunteer is responsible for checking these updates on the IRS website prior to each scheduled shift. The updates can be found online at the IRS VITA Update Page. You will be asked to certify you have looked at these updates each time you volunteer.
