Bio:Pat teaches AMIS 804 (Professional Research in Accounting), AMIS 861 (Fraud Examination) and AMIS 894.32 International Financial Reporting Standards in the Masters of Accounting Program and AMIS 627 (Auditing) and AMIS 634 (Topics in Accounting) in the undergraduate program. He also teaches seminars on corporate governance matters and Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations through the Fisher College of Business Executive Education Program. Prior to joining the faculty of The Ohio State University in 2002, Pat spent 26 years in public accounting and was an audit partner with Arthur Andersen LLP. As an audit partner, he had overall engagement responsibility for providing financial statement audit, consultation and other attestation and assurance services to numerous companies in the public and non-public sectors. Pat taught several internal and external training seminars while at Andersen and made numerous presentations to management and audit committees on various accounting and financial reporting matters. In addition to his engagement responsibilities, Pat also served as the partner-in-charge of the audit practice in the Columbus, Ohio office. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American Accounting Association.
