Professor Murdock joined The Ohio State University faculty in 1974. His scholarly interests include corporate financial reporting, auditing practice, and accounting education. His current research involves disclosure considerations in financial reporting and decision support systems in public accounting firms. Professor Murdock is a former National President of Beta Alpha Psi and was the Founding Editor of Issues in Accounting Education, published by the American Accounting Association.
