Nick Kellogg scored 23 points and host DeSales withstood a fourth-quarter surge by Hartley to beat the Hawks 53-48 in a Central Catholic League boys basketball game last night.

Ike Ariguzo had 15 points for the Stallions (8-1, 3-0), whose 14-point lead dwindled to three before Nick Goff made two free throws with 15 seconds remaining to secure the win.

Ben Siefert, who made seven three-point shots, scored 16 of his 28 points for Hartley (4-4, 1-2) in the fourth quarter.
