FINAL SCORE

62 66
    (while DHS's overall record may
    not have met everyone's pre-
    season expectations, the varsity
    had many notable accomplish-
ments: 1. enjoying a third consec-
    utive winning season, the second
    longest such streak in school
    history, surpassed only by the
    seven-season streak from 1984-85
    through 1990-91; 2. winning a
    holiday tournament for just the
third time out of the nineteen such
events in which DHS has partici-
pated -- the others were in 1990
    and 2000; 3. defeating Bishop
    Watterson twice, ending a seven-
game losing streak vs. WHS that
    began in December 2001;
    4. defeating two District Champi-
ons -- Division II Whitehall Yearling
and Division I Mifflin, snapping a
    seventeen-game losing streak vs.
MHS, the first victory in the series
    since December 7, 1968; and
    5. ending the season very positive-
ly by winning five of the six games
    preceding the District Semifinal --
the future is indeed bright for this
    young team -- congratulations to
    Coach Blair Albright, Coach Kevin
    Eckenrode, Coach Guy Poliseno,
and all the varsity players for their
    hard work and dedication that
    resulted in this most entertaining
    and promising season!)
