Third Generation (3G) Decision Analysts

The purpose of the 3G is simply to get relative new comers (aka 3rd generations decision analysts) more involved in the DA Society by providing a forum where they can meet people with similar backgrounds and interests.  The qualifications for membership are a personality strictly better than furniture and the ability to find the national meeting.  In addition to discussing common research interests, exchanging information and telling funny stories about our advisors we will also attempt to arrange for social functions at the national meetings to encourage camaraderie and generally improve the "fun" quotient.

Information

Keep track of what other DA folks are thinking and doing.  Sign up for DAList, the official list serve of the INFORMS Decision Analysis Society.  DAList is pretty low traffic (probably no more than 100 postings per year) but it's an easy way to find out about employment opportunites and occassionaly a thought provoking idea.  As an added bonus, every once in a while someone replies to a DAList posting with a personal message and we all get to read it!

Meet someone famous and feel free to ask them "dumb" questions (i.e. What exactly is a dissertation?, Has anyone ever done X before and I just don't know?)
