Professor Beatty's research focuses on the importance of accounting in debt covenants and bank capital regulation. She has previously taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Illinois, and Penn State. Professor Beatty has chaired four Ph.D. thesis committees. Her students currently hold positions at Harvard, M.I.T, and Michigan State.
