Your classmates bring an incredible breadth of backgrounds and experience to share with the Fisher College community. You will meet an amazing and diverse group of individuals, from the marketing manager from Istanbul who previously worked for Iveco International to the film studies major from New York University who ran his own production start-up gig to the medical resident from Columbus who is interested in exploring business careers in the pharmaceutical industry. From the minute you set foot on campus, you will be a part of this "melting pot."
The collaborative spirit is the hallmark of Fisher's intimate MBA program: It starts with working in small study groups and continues with professors being accessible, remembering your name and engaging in stimulating, one-on-one exchanges. It is Fisher's professional staff who consult with you on the best course design or on which companies to target in your job search. And it is Fisher alumni who are always ready to meet with you and share their very own success stories to support your efforts to land that dream job upon graduation.
On Campus
Fisher MBA students follow a rigorous curriculum to gain the edge that has earned our program the reputation of having one of the most successful MBA placement histories in the country. Beyond class and teamwork assignments, however, students form strong bonds and often lifelong friendships with their classmates. You may choose to join one of Fisher's or Ohio State's student organizations or clubs, but as a Fisher MBA student, you are automatically a member of our student-run MBA Association, which organizes social activities for all MBA students in the program.
These social events may include a ski trip, a Halloween party, or simply the "Fisher Event of the Week," where full-time MBA students and Working Professional MBA students get together every Thursday to socialize and "hang out." And this doesn't even account for the numerous, spontaneous dinner invitations at classmates' houses, shopping in the artsy Short North district with friends, or working out at the university's state-of-the-art recreational center, complete with an olympic-sized pool, racquetball centers, indoor track, and climbing wall.
Student Clubs & Organizations
Fisher's many and diverse student organizations provide a platform for everyone, be it the International Business Club, the Entrepreneurs' Association, the Finance Club, the Golf Club, or the Partner Club. In addition to Fisher's student organizations, you can also join any organization or student club associated with the university overall.
