Current Students: 2015-2016 Fisher College of Business Scholarship Application 

Undergraduate students enrolled in the major program have the opportunity to apply for a number of college scholarships using a universal Fisher College of Business Scholarship Application.  The 2015-2016 application will be available mid December, 2014.  Fisher College of Business sees financial aid as an investment in our students.  Awards are modest, but convey our belief in our student's achievements and successes.   Receipt of an award in previous years does not guarantee future awards.

Though need is not a requirement for college scholarships, some donors prefer their awards to be made to students facing financial hardship. Application requirements for the 2015-2016 year have changed! Please read the updated criteria below carefully.  

To be eligible to apply for college scholarships for 2015-2016 students must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain a 3.2 minimum grade point average at the end of AU 14
  • Complete at least 12 semester hours of graded OSU coursework by the end of AU 14, and 27 earned semester hours by the end of SP 15.
  • Be admitted to the Fisher College of Business major program by SU 15 (already admitted or completing application to major program for January 31, 2015 deadline)
  • Be enrolled full-time each semester of award.  Awards are semester based, and may not be moved from term to term.

With this online application, you will be asked to upload a current resume. Scholarship award notifications will begin during the summer, and may not be part of the original financial aid package issued by the Office of Student Financial Aid.

The 2015-2016 scholarship application will be available mid December 2014. 

The Harley E. Rouda Sr. and Marlese N. Scholarship Fund (AU 2015-SP 2016)

The Fisher College of Business is pleased to announce a scholarship to support undergraduate students who are specializing in Real Estate. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher to apply.  Students applying and receiving awards will be required to major in Real Estate.

Recruitment Scholarships

Fisher College of Business Undergraduate Program offers competitive recruitment scholarships to incoming freshmen students enrolled on the Columbus campus. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, admitted to pre-major or major program in Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University for Autumn 2014. Renewable up to one year if selected recipients meet criteria determined by selection committee.

Scholarships can come from different sources and have various awarding criteria. Ohio State offers numerous institutional scholarships for incoming freshmen and enrolled students. Edward S. "Beanie" Drake Student Leader Endowment Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds that enable deserving students to participate in campus activities when need might otherwise make it impossible for them to do so. These funds are solicited in the form of donations from student organizations of The Ohio State University. Learn more about Drake scholarships.

Bartels Study Abroad Scholarship
The Office of International Education and the Fisher College of Business are pleased to announce a scholarship competition to aid undergraduate students who plan to enroll in a University-sponsored Study Abroad Program of at least 5 weeks duration and for a minimum of 9 semester hours of credit. Awards will be made on the basis of the students who have a 3.5 grade point average or higher. Students receiving awards will be required to submit proof of enrollment in an authorized OSU study abroad program or study tour.
Awards vary. Non-credit tours or excursions are not eligible. Preference will be given to Fisher College of Business students. Download an application form.  Deadline is March 14, 2015.
Office of Global Business/CIBER Study Abroad Scholarship
The Fisher College of Business Office of Global Business offers travel grants to students who participate in FCOB and/or OSU endorsed Study Abroad Programs. Strong priority will be placed on supporting business students attending programs at FCOB partner institutions. Students must submit completed materials to the Fisher College of Business Office of Global Business by 5:00 p.m., May 15th regardless of holidays or weekends. 
Office of International Affairs Scholarships
Faculty and staff are asked to encourage students to apply now for study abroad scholarships. Three scholarships administered by the Office of International Affairs are now available and applications are being accepted. The Wolfe, Firebaugh and Endowed Fund scholarships have the potential to provide a number of students with funds to help pay for their study abroad programs.
The Polish Studies Initiative
The Polish Studies Initiative (PSI) is accepting applications for scholarships and research grants for the upcoming summer.  Language training and study-abroad scholarships are available for undergraduates for May or Summer 2014.  The deadline to apply is Monday, February 3, 2014.  Read more and apply online
Gilman International Scholarship
The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad for up to one academic year. Eligibility: Students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during the time they are studying abroad and cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba. [Gilman International Scholarship Program]

CREW Network 2015/2016 Scholarship

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2015/2016 CREW Network Scholarships, and we wanted you to be one of the first to know. CREW Network will award up to ten $10,000 scholarships to women interested in pursuing a career in commercial real estate. Each scholarship recipient will also be provided with a paid internship at a commercial brokerage firm.

Huntington International Fellowship

The Huntington National Bank pledged $250,000 to The Ohio State University Campaign in the form of an endowed fund to benefit humanities students interested in international business and foreign languages. Applications for the fellowship program are now available in the Foreign Language Center.  Deadline is February 17, 2014.

Cargill Global Scholars Program

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive scholarship opportunity that provides financial support in addition to leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a mentorship program.

The scholarship recipient will receive an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to three years, to help off-set any academic related expenses, as well as participate in leadership seminars and a Cargill mentorship program with company leaders.

Summer Research Funding Awards 2014

The Undergraduate Research Office, Office of International Affairs, University Honors & Scholars, and the College of Arts and Sciences (Division of Natural and Mathematical Sciences) are pleased to offer a joint application for four Summer Research Funding Opportunities:

The GLBT Alumni Society is dedicated to making studying at The Ohio State University a financial reality for more GLBT and students and their allies. SME Education Foundation College Scholarships

The Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland Education Foundation provides scholarship support for qualified students in the Greater Cleveland area.

Up to $5,000 in scholarships are available. The application deadline is February 1, 2015.

Insurance Accounting & Systems Assoc. (IASA) 2015 Scholarship

The IASA Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships to students preparing for a career in the insurance industry. IASA is one of the insurance industry's oldest and largest associations focused on providing education to insurance professionals.

IASA is pleased to announce that we will award collegiate scholarships in 2015 to students at a sophomore level or above enrolled in a university with an insurance program and whose course of study is working toward a degree in Information Technology, Actuarial Science, Accounting or Risk Management.

Derek Hughes/NASPLO Educational Foundation Scholarship

The Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation is now accepting applications for scholarships for the 2014-15 school year from students pursuing insurance or business related studies. In general, students must be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program, majoring in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Insurance, Management, Marketing, Mathematics, Risk Management, or Statistics. Students also must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours each semester. Financial need is considered in awarding scholarships. The Foundation awarded 14 $5,000 scholarships in 2013 and  expects to award a similar number this year.

The application deadline is June 1, 2015.

Entrepreneur’s Change Lives 2015 Scholarship.

The Entrepreneurs Change Lives Scholarship is an annual $1,000 scholarship awarded to an aspiring future entrepreneur who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate business program at a college or university or is a high school student who has been accepted into a school with an undergraduate business program. 

The winning applicant will provide the best 200-300 word essay on how entrepreneurship can bring awareness and action to social issues. 

The application deadline is August 1, 2015.
