Scholarships

The Scholars for Service Fund was created to advance the spirit of service, leadership, and academic excellence in the lives of future and current students at Fisher College of Business.

Furthermore, our hope is to propagate the philanthropic ideals embodied by Roy and Joann Mitte and create a sense of community and value among scholarship recipients.

Students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for need-based scholarships from The Ohio State University or Fisher College of Business.  *Please note: Current FCOB student scholarships that are merit-based do not require FAFSA.

Current Students: 2013-2014 Fisher Scholarships Application

Undergraduate students enrolled in the major program have the opportunity to apply for a number of college scholarships using a universal Fisher College of Business Scholarship Application.

Deadline: February 15, 2013

Though need is not a requirement for college scholarships, some donors prefer their awards to be made to students facing financial hardship. To be considered for these need-based scholarships, students must complete the FAFSA*Please note: Current FCOB student scholarships that are merit-based do not require FAFSA.

To be eligible to apply for college scholarships students must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain a 3.5 minimum grade point average at the end of AU 12
  • Complete at least 27 semester hours of graded OSU coursework, and 45 earned semester hours at the end of AU 12
  • Be admitted to the Fisher College of Business major program by AU 13

With this online application, you will be asked to submit a current resume via email. Scholarship award notifications will be made by May 2013.

The 2013-2014 scholarship application will be available January 1, 2013. 

The Harley E. Rouda Sr. and Marlese N. Scholarship Fund (AU 2013-SP 2014)

The Fisher College of Business is pleased to announce a scholarship to support undergraduate students who are specializing in Real Estate. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher to apply.  Students applying and receiving awards will be required to major in Real Estate.

Recruitment Scholarships

Fisher College of Business Undergraduate Program offers competitive recruitment scholarships to incoming freshmen students enrolled on the Columbus campus. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, admitted to pre-major or major program in Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University for Autumn 2013. Renewable up to one year if selected recipients meet criteria determined by selection committee.

2011 Buckeye Operations Management Society Scholarships

The Ohio State University Special Scholarship Application

Scholarships can come from different sources and have various awarding criteria. Ohio State offers numerous institutional scholarships for incoming freshmen and enrolled students. Students also receive a wide array of scholarships from external donors and outside resources. Learn more about OSU scholarships.

Edward S. "Beanie" Drake Student Leader Endowment Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds that enable deserving students to participate in campus activities when need might otherwise make it impossible for them to do so. These funds are solicited in the form of donations from student organizations of The Ohio State University. Learn more about Drake scholarships.

Bartels Study Abroad Scholarship
The Office of International Education and the Fisher College of Business are pleased to announce a scholarship competition to aid undergraduate students who plan to enroll in a University-sponsored Study Abroad Program of at least 5 weeks duration and for a minimum of 9 semester hours of credit. Awards will be made on the basis of the students who have a 3.5 grade point average or higher. Students receiving awards will be required to submit proof of enrollment in an authorized OSU study abroad program or study tour.
Awards vary. Non-credit tours or excursions are not eligible. Preference will be given to Fisher College of Business students. Download an application form.  Deadline is March 15, 2013.
International Programs/CIBER Study Abroad Scholarship
The Fisher College of Business International Programs Office offers travel grants to students who participate in FCOB and/or OSU endorsed Study Abroad Programs. Strong priority will be placed on supporting business students attending programs at FCOB partner institutions. Students must submit completed materials to the Fisher College International Programs Office (Fisher 300) by 5:00 p.m., May 15th regardless of holidays or weekends. NOTE: The Nantes Program is a summer program; others are aimed at students studying abroad during the academic year.
Office of International Affairs Scholarships
Faculty and staff are asked to encourage students to apply now for study abroad scholarships. Three scholarships administered by the Office of International Affairs are now available and applications are being accepted. The Wolfe, Firebaugh and Endowed Fund scholarships have the potential to provide a number of students with funds to help pay for their study abroad programs.
Huntington International Fellowship
This program is intended to permit students majoring in the humanities with interest and supporting work in international business and trade to spend an extended time abroad to enhance their fluency in the foreign language, their knowledge of the foreign culture, and their understanding of the workings and environment of international commerce. Application deadline: February 17, 2012.

Gilman International Scholarship
The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad for up to one academic year. Eligibility: Students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during the time they are studying abroad and cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba. [Gilman International Scholarship Program]
CREW Network 2013/2014 Scholarship

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2013/2014 CREW Network Scholarships, and we wanted you to be one of the first to know. CREW Network will award up to ten $10,000 scholarships to women interested in pursuing a career in commercial real estate. Each scholarship recipient will also be provided with a paid internship at a commercial brokerage firm.

We will be accepting applications until April 26, 2013 by 5 pm.

Leadership Minor Scholarship

The Smucker Leaders Scholarship Fund has been designated to provide support for undergraduate students pursuing a minor in Leadership Studies. 
 
Interested students should complete the scholarship application form by February 15, 2013. Based on the number of completed applications received, a subcommittee of the Leadership Studies Minor Advisory Committee will be convened to review the applications and select the first Smucker Leaders Scholarship Fund recipient(s) for next year.  If you are a student planning to graduate before the start of Fall Semester 2013, you should not submit an application.  However, if you will be enrolled full-time at Ohio State as an undergraduate student at least one semester next year (2013-14), you are welcome and encouraged to submit an application.  Scholarship award funds will be divided between Fall and Spring semesters, so recipients may be eligible to receive the scholarship, even if they plan to graduate at the end of Fall semester.

Huntington International Fellowship

The Huntington National Bank pledged $250,000 to The Ohio State University Campaign in the form of an endowed fund to benefit humanities students interested in international business and foreign languages. Applications for the fellowship program are now available in the Foreign Language Center.  Deadline is February 15, 2013.

Cargill Global Scholars Program

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive scholarship opportunity that provides financial support in addition to leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a mentorship program.

The scholarship recipient will receive an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to three years, to help off-set any academic related expenses, as well as participate in leadership seminars and a Cargill mentorship program with company leaders.

Quality, Trust & Growth Scholarship Program provided by PepsiCo Warehouse Sales

Applicants for the Quality, Trust & Growth Scholarship Program must:

  •  Be college undergraduates who are enrolled in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at one of the following four‑year colleges or universities:

CPAexcel Scholarship

CPAexcel will once again award a $2,500 Cash Scholarship and 31 CPA Review Course Scholarships at the end of this semester. This is a random drawing open to students who are taking at least one accounting course.  See website for more details.

The Traffic Club of Pittsburgh - Scholarship Award Program

Credit Union of Ohio Scholarships

Credit Union of Ohio is offering a scholarship to OSU undergraduate students for $7,500 in awards. Instead of using a traditional application method, the scholarship takes the form of a video contest.  Students are given the chance to create a short video based on a theme and compete with one another to win 1st Place for $5,000, 2nd Place for $1,500 or the People’s Choice for $1,000. This year’s theme is “Think Bucks, Go Nuts.” The challenge is to show how students manage their money and how they spend their extra cash. What good decisions do they make? What bad ones? IASA Insurance Industry Collegiate Scholarship

IASA is pleased to announce the launch of our 2013 Scholarship Collegiate Scholarship Program. IASA is one of the insurance industry's oldest and largest associations focused on providing education to insurance professionals.

2013 Scholarships will be awarded to students at a sophomore level or above enrolled in a university with an insurance program and whose course of study is working toward a degree in Information Technology, Actuarial Science, Accounting or Risk Management. Summer Research Funding Awards 2013

The Undergraduate Research Office, Office of International Affairs, University Honors & Scholars, and the College of Arts and Sciences (Division of Natural and Mathematical Sciences) are pleased to offer a joint application for four Summer Research Funding Opportunities:

GLBT Alumni Society Scholarships

The GLBT Alumni Society is dedicated to making studying at The Ohio State University a financial reality for more GLBT and students and their allies. Realizing that the financial demands placed on students and families because of the rising cost of higher education is often multiplied for GLBT students, fundraising efforts by the society has made these scholarships a reality.
