Jeremy Erdman is a junior Finance and Accounting major at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is a member of the Business Honors Program and QUEST Program within the business school. QUEST is a three year multidisciplinary program focusing on customer satisfaction, problem solving and teamwork. Jeremy worked two summers with General Electric in lean manufacturing (2007) and finance (2008). He also worked part-time with a small financial planning firm affiliated with Lincoln Financial Advisors during his sophomore year. Jeremy is in the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at UMD. He hopes one day to work in a very challenging, fast-faced, and intellectual atmosphere. Learning about the financial markets in this time period has been an enlightening experience for Jeremy. Jeremy has played soccer and golf his entire life. His other interests include personal investing, attending sporting events and hanging out with friends.
Alison Willman is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. She is a junior finance major at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. On campus, she is involved with the Hinman CEOs Program, Smith Ambassadors, the Climate Action Workgroup and Delta Gamma. The Hinman CEOs is a living and learning program for entrepreneurship. Through Hinman, Alison became a leader of MoCo Tutors, a private tutoring venture. As a member of the Smith Ambassadors, Alison markets the Smith School to perspective students. Alison is one of a handful of student members of the Climate Action Workgroup, a University of Maryland taskforce for campus carbon neutrality. Alison represents the Smith School. Alison is also the Director of Social Events for Delta Gamma. She manages an $8000 annual budget and coordinates social occasions to promote chapter unity. In her free time, Alison runs, bikes, swims and speaks French.
Akshay Goyal is a junior pursuing a double degree in Finance and Accounting at the University of Maryland, College Park. This past summer, Akshay gained experience in wealth management at a rapidly growing firm, Convergent Wealth Advisors. He is extremely interested in finance and plans on pursuing a career in sales & trading, asset management, or investment banking. He aspires to one day build his own asset management firm. In addition, Akshay is a tennis player who played competitively until 2006 and has continued to play recreationally since then. Akshay also enjoys watching sports, traveling, sleeping, and spending time with family and friends. Akshay’s ultimate goal in life is to become a self-built, respected person who is remembered for his positive contribution to society. He wants his parents, brother, friends, teachers, colleagues, and anyone else who has ever known him to be proud of his accomplishments.
