Gopika Ranganathan hails from Dubai, U.A.E., where she placed 2nd among 2500 students in the National exam taken in her senior year of high school. In pursuit of a grand vision of a career in finance and strategic communications, she decided to come to the U.S. to attend The Ohio State University. She is a member of the Honors Cohort Program.
She is the Director of Philanthropy for the Asian Business Students’ Association. Keenly interested in assisting others, Gopika works as a math tutor at the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Center at OSU, tutoring undergraduate students in calculus and analytical geometry. She is personally intrigued with the analysis of the international impact of business and technology related events and is working on an independent study, where she is analyzing how the changing oil prices is affecting the developing countries.
Gopika is proficient in Indian classical music and participates in music performances. Her hobbies include painting, racquetball and yoga.

Pinank Patel is a senior double majoring in Finance and Real Estate with a minor in Economics. He is a member of the Honors Cohort Program.
Outside of the classroom, Pinank has co-founded a mentorship program for first-year undergraduate business students. He has also served as the Vice President of Finance for the Fisher Citizenship Program and Director of Programming for the Fisher Real Estate Society.
This summer, Pinank worked in microfinance for BRAC USA, the U.S. arm of the world’s largest NGO. Prior to that, he interned at Johnson & Johnson in the Capital and Fixed Assets Group. He has also interned at Hersha Hospitality, a Real Estate Investment Trust based in Philadelphia. As a Finance Intern in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Pinank created financial models to evaluate the profitability of potential acquisitions.
Pinank’s interests include the Philadelphia Eagles, Texas Hold ‘Em, traveling, and basketball.

Tyler Dodds was born in Lancaster, Ohio where he attended William V. Fisher Catholic High School. Upon graduation he enrolled in The Ohio State University where he is majoring in Finance. He is currently working as a Clerk in a local bankruptcy law firm specializing in consumer bankruptcy. In his spare time Tyler enjoys cycling and snowboarding.
Tyler plans to work as a snowboarding instructor in Colorado during Winter Quarter before returning to OSU to finish his degree. |
