Preston Parry is a third year Economics and Decision Sciences double major, with an entrepreneurship minor in the Business Honors Program. He has spent summers working for the Federal Reserve, Vetus Partners Investment Bank, and UBS. He currently is a managing director at Miami University’s Venture Capital Fund, where he assists startups with strategic decisions, as well as overseeing every step in the investment process.
He has decided that funding world-changing new ideas is a great way to make a living, and would like to pursue venture capital full time later in life. Until then, he would like to help companies solve their most pressing problems by being a management consultant. Preston is a huge Miami Hockey fan, and active broomball player. Preston participated in the Biz Quiz last year, and looks forward to competing again this year.

Michael Gershenzon is an Honors Business student majoring in Finance at Miami University. He is currently involved in the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity and Buck Rodger’s Business Leadership Program. In both of these programs, he and his fellow members participate in service events, fundraisers, charitable services, and social programs with the purpose of improving themselves as well as assisting others. Recently, he has taken a tremendous interest in investment banking. Even though the IB world is being turned upside down each and every day, he desperately wants to pursue his career in this field.
This past week he has been working on an investment banking competition in which he and his teammates were asked to valuate Wrigley’s Co. and advise Mars. Co. whether to acquire Wrigley as its private subsidiary. The complexity of such cases and investment banking in general is what is pushing him to spend hours everyday to learn as much as he possibly can about the topic. He sincerely hopes his hard work will culminate in a job at a bulge bracket bank (i.e. Goldman Sachs).
