RON MILLER: Ron is a senior at the University of Minnesota, majoring in marketing with journalism and mass communications. He works for the college radio station, KUOM, as a reporter and DJ; anchoring the evening news, reporting from the state capitol, and hosting a weekly country-bluegrass radio show on Sundays. Ron also hosted live broadcasts each day from the Minnesota State Fair, with on-stage interviews with politicians and University professors to people showing animals. Ron also judges high school speech, NFL student congress, and debate. He is also a popular announcer for a variety of events around the region: horseshows, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and even one-act play tournaments. Ron is also involved with campus governance in the University Senate and the Carlson School of Management Business Board. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, reading, theatre, model railroading, and rides and shows horses.
KEVIN ZINTER: Kevin was raised in a small town in South Dakota and for 18 years, nothing happened. After graduating high school, he made it a personal mission to experience other cultures and explore other places. He began his journey by moving to Minneapolis to study Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. At school, he has been active on the men's crew team and the parliamentary debate team. His junior year, he was awarded the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship which allowed him to study in Germany for a year. While in Europe, he had the chance to meet Pink (the singer) in Budapest, participate in the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, and thwarted a mugger using a lid from a trash-can. He will graduate in December, after which he will be touring throughout South America and hopes to land a job in the consulting industry. In his free time, he enjoys marathon running, camping, and saving the world.
ROSS HEDLUND: Ross Hedlund is a 22-year-old senior at Carlson School of Management with a triple major in Marketing, Entrepreneurial Management, and Supply Chain Management. As a combat veteran, having served with the National Guard attached to the 1st Infantry Division, he conducted counterfire for the area of Balad, Iraq from February 2004 through February 2005. Ross is an active participant on the U of M campus as the Assistant Recruitment Chair for Beta Eta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, the Visibility Chair for Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, a volunteer at Feed My Starving Children, and an athlete in intramural sports.
