Specialization: International Business
The International Business specialization prepares students to understand and participate in worldwide production and distribution activities.
International Business (IB) is the study of domestic, international, and foreign business environments and of business practices and problems related to them.

To succeed in International Business, develop a plan. Identify a specialization (in addition to IB) that represents a function of business that you enjoy. Plan to travel, use the internet, and choose a language you enjoy and study it. Join the International Association of Students in Economics and Business (AIESEC) and develop a business expertise because most careers start domestically.

- Should have Bus - M&L 757 and Bus - Fin 725 before Bus Adm 798 (MUST have one of them).
- Must have credit for/proficiency in a MODERN, spoken Foreign Language through 104 level.
- Students are encouraged to double specialize with a functional area of Business. Will normally start career in a traditional functional area with an international firm.
- Students with double specializations take Bus Adm 798 only (offered SP quarter only) and do not need Bus Adm 799. (If graduation SU, AU, or WI quarters and cannot complete prerequisites for Bus Adm 798 in time, may petition to substitute Bus Adm 799.) An exception is Human Resources double major who must take both Bus - MHR 769 and Bus Adm 798.

Other studies include exchange controls and the operations of foreign exchanges to formulate policies on investments and transfer of capital. There may also be specialization in the analysis of economic conditions in a particular geographic area.
