Student Organization Resources
The Graduate Programs Office works hard to facilitate and support student organizations here in the Fisher community. To that end, there are several resources that the GPO provides for those organizations registered through the GPO and the SOURCE.
Gerlach 271
Student organizations are able to utilize room 271 in Gerlach Hall for meetings, workspace, and file storage. To obtain a key for this room, a member of the organization must complete and submit a Key Request Form along with a check for $65. This process will allow the student to keep the key for a period of up to 6 months. If you wish to keep the key longer than 6 months, you must resubmit an updated form and check before the time elapses. This check is a deposit, and will not be cashed unless a key is lost, or is not returned within the 6 month time frame. It is collected to cover the costs associated with changing the locks or cutting new keys.
Miscellaneous Supplies
The GPO has some miscellaneous supplies in the basement storage room, such as paper plates, utensils, decorations, etc. Please see Kaylin Ward in the GPO to see what items are available before spending your student organization funds on these expenditures.
Coke Request Form
As part of Coca-Cola's contract with the University, student organizations are able to request donated beverages, a blank banner, resources associated with event planning, and in select cases endorsement with associated resources above what is mentioned. In order to request any of these resources, the student organization must complete the request form at the minimum 2 weeks in advance of the event.
Alternative Funding/Planning Resources
Funding from the Graduate Programs Office is meant to subsidize your event. Please keep in mind additional University resources when planning your event. The following departments may help in your endeavors:
- OSU Student Organization Resource Center (SOURCE)
- OSU Multicultural Center
- The Ohio Union Activities Board Collaborative Events
