Palm DST Patch
Palm has released a patch to address the 2007 Daylight-Savings Time (DST) change. This patch can be downloaded and installed over the air. If, instead, you choose to download the patch to your desktop you will have to perform a HotSync to transfer the update to your Palm.
The following instructions are for downloading and installing the DST Patch to your Palm over the air. These instructions are only for devices with the Palm OS. If you have a Windows Mobile device you should go to the link below and follow the instructions for Windows Mobile:
- On your Palm, go to http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/dst.html
- At the bottom of the page, tap on Download Palm OS DST Update
- Near the middle of the page, at How to Install , tap Over the Air
- Near the middle of the page, tap Download DSTUpdater.prc
- When asked Do you want to download? tap Yes , then tap Save
- When asked Do you want to accept DSTUpdater.prc into Applications? tap Yes
- You should then get the message DSTUpdater.prc Download complete. Tap OK
- Go to Applications and tap on the DSTUpdater icon
- When informed that This application allows you to update to the new Daylight Saving Time settings that go into effect in March 2007 , tap OK
- You should then get the message Your device has been udpated to the new Daylight Saving Time settings . Tap OK
Your Palm device is now updated with the new DST rules.
