Alexander D. Gardner

Alex Gardner is a junior at The Ohio State University in the Fisher College of Business. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in finance. Alex participated in the Emerging Markets, Business, and Globalization program where he spent time in Panama City, Panama after studying the globalization of Panama’s economy. Alex is a member of the undergraduate finance association and currently serves as Vice President and Academic Chairman of his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. Alex is the founder and president of the Buckeye Barbeque Club, one of the largest student organizations at Ohio State, and was featured on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in November of 2006.

During the summer of 2007 Alex interned for UBS Financial Services. While at UBS, Alex assisted the technical analyst with portfolio analysis for prospective clients, and the development of asset allocation strategies using proprietary UBS investment products. In addition, Alex received training in the operational and management aspects of the firm's business. Alex also conducted portfolio analyses and assisted in preparation of performance reports for clients of UBS. This fall, Alex will be participating in the Smith Barney internship program in their wealth management division.
