Biography
Professor La Londe is currently Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University. He remains active in the Logistics and Supply Chain area as a researcher, author and consultant. He has served as a Consultant to almost 40 "Fortune 500" firms.
In the public sector he has served as a Consultant to U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, U.S. Navy, ALMAC, U.S. Department of Transportation, Board of Visitors — Air Force Institute of Technology and United States Postal Service. He has also served as primary advisor for the Program and Dissertation process for * Air Force Officers.
He has received the Eccles Medal from SOLE and the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Professionals. La Londe spoke as part of the Fisher Thought Leader Speaker Series. The topic of La Londe's speech was "Some Thoughts on Extended Enterprise", which discussed trends in outsourcing, off-shore partnering and implications for management.
La Londe is also co-director of the Supply Chain Management Research Group and founding editor of the Journal of Business Logistics . He is a frequent contributor to professional journals and trade press on the subjects of logistics, customer service and supply chain management.
