Biography

Professor Hall's research has been published in Operations Research, Networks and Annals of Operations Research. He is an associate editor of Operations Research, Management Science and Journal of Scheduling and the author of over 50 articles in the areas of manufacturing, production, scheduling and applications of management science to a variety of business and public sector problems. Professor Hall has served as director-at-large for INFORMS, president of Manufacturing and Service Operations Management and as one of two academic representatives on the Ohio Steel Industry Advisory Commission. He consults extensively for manufacturing companies and local government. He has presented scholarly papers in Europe, Canada, Japanand Hong Kong. He is a fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1998, he received the Pace Setters Research Award.
