John R. Current

Professor of Management Sciences

Biography

For the past ten years, Professor Current has been a visiting professor on the faculty of economics at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and has been an invited lecturer at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

He received the 2001 Fisher College Pace Setter's Faculty Research and Undergraduate Teaching awards and received a decree of commendation from the State of Ohio House of Representativesfor outstanding teaching and research, 2001. Current's research has been published in Benchmarking: An International Journal, Journal of Business Logistics, Decision Sciences, Transportation Science and the European Journal of Operational Research, among other journals. He was the founding co-editor of Location Science and is on several journal editorial boards.
