Tom Curley joins the Department of Management Sciences as a senior lecturer, where he teaches a class on energy. Curley's industry experiences include working for General Electric from 1979 to 1995, where he held 12 different roles—including in Corporate Business Development, Aircraft Engine Final Assembly, 7F/9F Industrial Gas Turbine Power Manager, and General Manager of Power Delivery—in seven different locations. Curley also worked for Caterpillar from 1995 to 1998, serving as general manager of CAT's Worldwide Hydraulic Business.
Between 1998 and 2000, Curley led a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Cameron Provider Gas Turbine Power Systems for power generation and oil and gas applications. Curley worked for Rolls-Royce from 2000 to 2010, serving as president of the Rolls-Royce Energy Business.
Curley has also held various positions in private equity. He earned an associate degree (aeronautical engineering) from Daniel Webster College and a BS (industrial technology) from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
