Biography

As senior associate dean, Professor Mangum is responsible for formulating and pursuing effective academic policies designed to improve college programs. In addition, he oversees the review and implementation of any college-related curriculum changes.

Mangum has published widely in professional journals on topics such as employment and training policy, labor market analysis, military manpower and regional and international economic development. Recently published work includes books on the persistence of poverty and an analysis of U.S. anti-poverty programs.

His involvement in international human resource development activities includes assignments in Mauritania, Oman, Northern Ireland, India and Vietnam.
