Biography

Robert B. Lount, Jr. is an assistant professor at Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.  He completed his PhD in Management and Organizations in 2007 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Professor Lount’s research examines group performance, intergroup relations, and trust.  His work has been published in leading academic journals and has been featured in popular press outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Scientific American Mind, and The New York Magazine.  He currently serves on the editorial boards of Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Small Group Research.  His dissertation received the best dissertation award from the Group Dynamics Division of the American Psychological Association.

Professor Lount currently teaches negotiations and organizational behavior in both the MBA and undergraduate programs at the Fisher College of Business.  Prior to arriving at Ohio State, he taught at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
