Associate Professor of Management & Human Resources
Professor Ellingson publishes in the area of organizational staffing and has a well-established reputation in employment testing. Her research focuses on a number of themes including issues associated with the use of personality assessment tools in the workplace, questions surrounding the design of selection systems that meet organizational goals, and challenges stemming from the use of non-traditional work arrangements.
Ellingson is a Fisher College of Business Research Pace Setter and a Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) Fellow. Her research has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and the American Psychologist. She was ranked among the most published female authors in the Journal of Applied Psychology and Personnel Psychology during the 1990's.
Jill teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in human resource management, training and development, individual differences, and organizational staffing. She is the recipient of a Fisher College of Business Undergraduate Program Teaching Award. Jill also teaches in various executive education programs and currently serves on a technical advisory review board for Avert, Inc., a human resources assessment firm.
