Jay DialClinical Associate Professor of Management & Human Resources
BiographyProfessor Dial conducts research on corporate strategy, exploring the relationships among ownership concentration, capital structure and firm performance. His research also examines the linkage between corporate governance and competitive behavior. He has published academic articles in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Financial Economics and Venture Capital. Dial specializes in the study of leveraged buyouts and is also the author of numerous Harvard Business School teaching cases. He also conducts seminars for business school faculty on teaching with the case method. Professor Dial was selected as the Outstanding Core Professor in Fisher College’s Part-Time MBA Program in 2003 and 2004, and also received the Weatherhead School of Management’s Teaching Excellence Award for 1999-2000. He regularly conducts executive education programs at The Ohio State University, Cornell University, Case Western Reserve University and Tulane University.
