Bernadette A. MintonProfessor of Finance Areas of ExpertiseCorporate Risk Management
BiographyProfessor Minton's research focuses on corporate risk management, derivatives valuation, and corporate finance and governance. Her research has been published in top-tier financial economic journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics and Journal of Finance. She has consulted for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the IPC Group and has conducted research for Salomon, Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Minton was nominated for the Smith Breeden Award in 1997 and received the Dean's Summer Fellowship in 1999, the Fisher College's Honors Program Undergraduate Teaching Award and the 2000 Pace Setters Undergraduate Teaching Award and Research Award. Minton teaches business finance and derivatives to undergraduate business students and derivatives to MBA students, and has taught related topics for Fisher College's executive education programs.
