Biography

Professor Bentz’s research emphasis is on financial decision models and their related information needs, specifically strategic cost management and activity-based costing methods. His research has been published in leading journals such as The Accounting Review, Decision Sciences and Issues in Accounting Education. Bentz is active in the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association, the Institute of Management Accountants and Financial Executives International. He teaches courses in planning and control systems for management, as well as courses in financial accounting.
