Assistant Professor of Accounting & MIS
Professor Altamuro's primary research interests include financial accounting, the impact of accounting regulations on managerial decision making and the ability of regulators and standard setters to influence the quality of financial reporting. Jennifer's research has been published in the Accounting Review and she has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for the American Accounting Association and The Journal of Accounting and Economics.
Her industry experience includes 5 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the audit and business assurance practice, working primarily with healthcare, pharmaceutical and chemical companies. She has a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph's University, in Philadelphia, Penn.
