Biography
Professor Raabe is one of the country's leading tax educators and authors. His research has appeared in journals for both academics and tax advisors. His books include undergraduate and graduate texts, as well as several professional reference works. Raabe has testified as to tax matters before legislative committees and in the courtroom as an expert witness. He often is quoted in the media on the topics of tax law, tax reform, and economic development effects.
For many years, Raabe was the Wisconsin Distinguished Professor of Taxation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Bill also has taught at Arizona State University and Samford University (AL). He has been active in the tax education functions of the major accounting firms, and he created nationally marketed software for estate and gift planners. Raabe is an advisor to Fisher College’s Deloitte Tax Student Case Competition, and he heads the Fisher/OSU Tax Clinic.
