Biography

Professor Murdock’s current research involves disclosure considerations in financial reporting and decision support systems in public accounting firms. His research has been published in Public Utilities Fortnightly, Financial Executive and The Accounting Review. He is the founding editor of Issues in Accounting Education and currently serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Accounting Horizons.

Murdock has been listed in Who’s Who on several occasions, including Who’s Who in the World in 1984, has received honors from Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma, and is a John Glenn Institute Fellow. He has shared his expertise with the Entrepreneurial Development Institute, giving presentations in Indiana, Kentucky and South Carolina, and is actively involved with the Ohio Society of CPAs. He teaches courses in financial and managerial accounting.
