Prospective MBA Working Professional Students
Admission Information
We encourage you to apply as soon as you decide that the Fisher MBA for Working Professionals program is right for you. While we offer admission to qualified students in every academic quarter, we encourage students to begin classes in June during the Summer quarter. Not only is Summer traditionally the quarter in which the largest number of students are admitted (about two-thirds of our annual total), but it also offers a coursework sequence with proven success regardless of one's educational or professional background.
Fisher intentionally limits acceptance for the WP MBA program to approximately 150 students annually. While the Fisher WP MBA program is selective, we do recognize that academic and professional diversity is very important in building a vibrant learning community. Therefore, we give serious consideration, and offer acceptance, to applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds.
In total, our admissions process is designed to assess a prospective student's academic ability and leadership potential. To evaluate your candidacy we will conduct all of the following: a review of your undergraduate academic record, an evaluation of scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), and a review of work experience as related on your resume. In addition, we ask that you submit three letters of reference and a personal statement that explains how your experience, education, and career goals have led you to pursue an MBA degree.
Each application is carefully reviewed, and each applicant's qualifications are evaluated individually by the MBA Admissions Committee.
Applications for all quarters are now being accepted, and must be received within four weeks of the start date of the desired quarter. Applications are currently being accepted for Summer Quarter classes beginning June 2008.
