Admissions

The admissions committee is charged with the task of building a cohesive community out of each incoming class. It is looking for well rounded students from a variety of backgrounds with a diverse and stimulating life experience. It reviews essays, resumes, transcripts, references and interview notes to find the perfect candidates. Therefore it is paramount that you present your strengths, profile your leadership experience and past/potential academic excellence, and give us insight into your personal experiences and goals for the future. Be true to yourself, do not just tell us what you think we want to hear: show us who you are and who/what you want to become.
Calendar
Students anticipating full-time enrollment are strongly encouraged to apply for admission in the Autumn Quarter, due to course sequencing and very limited availability of fellowships. However, if starting in winter or spring quarter is preferable, the MLHR program does accept applications for winter and spring quarter on a space available basis. (Students anticipating part-time enrollment can apply for autumn, winter, or spring quarter. The "course sequencing" issue is not as critical for part-time students as it is for full-time students.)
Applications deadlines are as follows:
| If you are... | Entering... | Application Deadline is... |
| International Applicant | Autumn Quarter | November 30 (for fellowship nomination consideration) |
| Domestic Applicant | Autumn Quarter | December 31 (for fellowship nomination consideration) |
