Prospective Master of Accounting
Life at Fisher
Diversity
The Fisher College has a strong commitment to faculty, student and staff diversity. In support of this belief, the college created the position of associate dean for educational and professional diversity, one of the only such positions at a higher education institution in the country. As a result, we've increased minority faculty hires, student recruitment activities and mentoring activities, as well as seminars, workshops and classes on a variety of diversity-related issues.
Fisher College Diversity Office
The Fisher College Diversity Office is committed to promoting equity, fairness and respect in interpersonal dealings among all members in the college community. The office's goals are to recruit and retain the most talented students, faculty and staff while promoting diversity in culture and perspective. For more information contact Associate Dean Susan L. Josephs.
Office of Minority Student Services
The college's Office of Minority Student Services assists African American, Asian American, Hispanic, Native American and international business students in achieving college and career objectives. For more information contact David Harrison at 614-292-1017.
Minority Business Student Organizations
The Office of Minority Student Services provides advise, encouragement and funding support to five minority business student organizations.
The Asian Business Student Association (ABSA), the Council of Black Students in Administration (CBSA), the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and the Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) are student organizations designed to give attention to the particular interests, concerns and challenges of minority students interested in business careers.
The Black Master of Business Administration Association (BMBAA) assists its graduate student members entering the corporate arena by sponsoring workshops and special events at local institutions and corporations.
Minority business student organizations provide culturally and socially significant vehicles for the establishment of mentorship, career placement and networking opportunities with local businesses, corporations and more than 46,000 Fisher alumni located nationally and internationally.
