Once the Fisher MAcc Programs Admissions staff receives your complete application, it is scheduled for review by the admissions committee. We will be in touch with you within six (6) weeks to let you know our decision. International applications may take more time to complete the application review process. International students are encouraged to complete their application as early as possible to ensure prompt financial review.
In all cases, the admissions committee will only review files that are complete. Please see below below for a listing of items that constitutes a complete application.
A complete application includes
- A completed MAcc application on-line form
- Application processing fee - payable via credit card upon online application submission
- At least three (3) references that can speak to your potential to be successful in the program. We recommend at least two of your letters of reference be from academic sources. You will have the opportunity to ask your references to submit either electronic or paper letters of reference on your behalf when you submit your online application.
- A detailed resume--The Fisher MAcc program admissions committee views work experience as desirable but not necessary. Undergraduate academic record, reference letters, evidence of leadership experience and official test scores (GMAT and TOEFL, if applicable) play a more significant role in a complete application evaluation. You will have the opportunity to upload your resume as an attachment during the online application submission process.
- 2-3 Essays. All applicants are required to complete 2 essays. (The essay questions are included in the application.) If your undergraduate degree was in something other than accounting, you must submit an essay on how your educational background prepared you for the Fisher MAcc program. You will submit your essays electronically as part of your online application submission.
- Two (2) official, unopened, original and certified copies of transcripts from every college or university attended. IMPORTANT: Send your official transcripts to MAcc Admissions Office; Fisher College of Business; 100 Gerlach Hall; 2108 Neil Ave; Columbus OH 43210-1144 . Certified English translations must be provided if the originals are not in English.
-
- NOTE: International applicants who earned or are in process of earning degrees from universities outside of the United States must also have a course by course evaluation of their transcripts by an approved credential evaluator and have that report sent to our admissions office. Currently, the Fisher MAcc program accepts credential evaluations from ECE or WES.

Letter from the Director of the Graduate Programs Office
I am so pleased that you are considering applying to the Fisher College of Business. We seek outstanding candidates who want an intellectually stimulating environment, a close-knit collaborative community, and the chance to take an active role in enhancing the Fisher experience for those to come.
The decision to attend a graduate business program is important. The next step of choosing the best business school for you is crucial. Before making any decisions, I would encourage you to fully investigate any and all schools that offer programs you find compelling.
Fisher’s programs are deliberately small in order to maximize student, peer, faculty and staff interaction. We believe this is a great way to learn and prepare for your future, but it does put and keep the spotlight directly on you. If you enjoy standing apart and having your opinions heard and if being in control of your future excites you, please click here for the secure online application.
I hope you find this site to be a wonderful source of information about the Fisher College experience. Having said that, I do know that to really ‘get’ what Fisher College is all about, you need to experience it in person. I strongly encourage you to visit us to truly understand the full picture of what we have to offer and to meet some of the extraordinary students, faculty and staff that make us one of the top-ranked programs in the country.
I look forward to getting to know you.
David Smith
Director, Graduate Programs Office
