Fellowships
The Fisher College of Business nominates our strongest MACC degree candidates for The Ohio State University’s outstanding fellowship program. Students who apply by December 31, have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.6 (on a 4.0 scale) and stellar GMAT scores will be considered for nomination for University Fellowship awards from the Graduate School. These fellowships provide a full waiver of tuition and general fees, plus a monthly stipend of $1,400 for one full year.
Admitted students who are U.S. citizens and can add to the diversity of the overall Graduate School (e.g. including, but not limited to, members of under-represented groups, etc.) may be eligible for Graduate Enrichment Fellowships. Graduate Enrichment fellowships provide a full tuition and general fee waiver and a monthly stipend of $1,400 per month for one year. To qualify, candidates must apply by December 31, have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.1, and have strong GMAT scores.
Graduate Assistantships
The MAcc Admissions Committee awards merit-based graduate assistantships to its strongest admitted students. The assistantships provide for 50% fee/tuition waivers plus monthly stipend of approximately $550 per month. All admitted applicants to the MAcc program are considered for these assistantships — no separate application is necessary.
Scholarships
The MAcc Admissions Committee awards merit-based MAcc scholarships to successful applicants on a competitive basis. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $10,000. All admitted applicants to the MAcc program are considered for these scholarships — no separate application is necessary.
There are organizations outside the Fisher College of Business that also have programs in place to help support students seeking an advanced (or "fifth year") accounting degree. For example, the AICPA has monies set aside for certain students seeking financial support for a fifth year of accounting education. Also, the Accountancy Board of Ohio has monies set aside for U.S. citizens who are Ohio residents seeking scholarship moneys to help support their graduate accounting studies.
Deadlines
Funding for financial aid awards is very limited. For complete consideration for financial aid, your completed application should be received by November 15 (International Students) and December 31 (Domestic Students). Simply check the appropriate financial assistance boxes on the application, and your request will automatically be considered. Information regarding merit-based award decisions, including fellowship awards, is released in late March.
