Fisher College of Business

Elective Courses - Executive MBA

Electives Courses (8 Credit hours) March-May

Elective courses are taught by recognized experts in their fields who provide in-depth exploration of a current business issue. The Fisher EMBA program is unique in that the class as a whole chooses their electives through a democratic process. Students may choose from existing Fisher courses or new courses may be developed, given sufficient interest. In either event, our Fisher EMBA faculty accepts significant input from the class to create a customized classroom experience. Previous classes have chosen the following electives:

  • Leadership and Competitive Analysis
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Product Management Strategy
  • Risk Management
  • Services Marketing
  • Business Law
Cross-Disciplinary Courses (4 Credit hours)

Cross-Disciplinary courses combine different disciplines (e.g., Strategy and Finance) to explore current business issues from multiple perspectives. The Fisher EMBA program is unique in that the class as a whole chooses their cross-disciplinary courses through a democratic process. Given sufficient interest from the class, new courses may be developed. Previous classes have chosen the following cross-disciplinary courses:

  • Analysis of Financial Statements
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Strategic Alliances
