  • Please follow these guidelines to help ensure success in the General Business Program courses.

    Hardware configuration

    Fisher College of Business has standardized on hardware and operating systems, using personal computers [PCs] with Windows operating systems (OS). Following is the recommended hardware configuration for using WebCT Version 3.x:

    • Windows 9x/NT/2000
    • Pentium-based computer or equivalent (e.g., Celeron or AMD-K6)
    • 333 Mhz or higher processor
    • 64 MB or better RAM
    • 500 MB available hard disk space

    Internet Connection

    All General Business Program courses are designed for high speed internet connections and are available through regional campus labs. Attempting to view video components or listen to audio demonstrations with a dial-up / modem connection will be frustrating or impossible. If you prefer to complete coursework at home, we highly recommend that you have a high speed connection to the Internet with one of the following:

    • Cable access
    • Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
    • Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
    • Leased line (T-1 and T-3)
