The third annual Nationwide-Fisher Biz Quiz was a grand success. As in the past two years, this year's Biz Quiz was hosted and run by the Fisher College of Business, and presented with the generous support of Nationwide's Financial Leadership Rotation Program, in partnership with The Wall Street Journal.

This exciting, fast-paced quiz show competition was hosted on Fisher's campus on Saturday, November 15th, with the final rounds held at WOSU public televison's production studios at Columbus' award-winning Center of Science and Industry (COSI) on Sunday, November 16th. This competition is the only one of its kind in the nation designed to showcase the business acumen of top undergraduate business students from participating schools.

Twenty-four top-ranked business schoolsfrom all over the country sent their teams to compete in this year’s Biz Quiz, where students were asked questions from news covering all topics appearing in The Wall Street Journal six weeks prior to the competition. The competition included individual rounds, team preliminary rounds, team semifinals and the grand finale which was attended by Fisher Interim Dean Stephen Mangum, Nationwide CFO Larry Hilsheimer and the quiz master, Krishnan Anantharaman, from The Wall Street Journal.

Fisher’s team, led by advisor Nancy Lahmers, made it to a very tightly contested semifinals round. Two students from the team, Pinank Patel and Tyler Dodds won awards for individual achievement. Congratulations to Nancy and our Fisher team!

The Fisher organizing committee responsible for this year's Biz Quiz included Gail Dickson, Lisa Bare, Patty Allen, Tom Wei, Jay Yutzey, Arleen Robinson, Rao Unnava and Shashi Matta. A sincere thank you to Fisher faculty - Steven Dickstein, Dan Oglevee, Andrea Prudhomme, Curt Haugtvedt and Pat West - who helped officiate the preliminary and semifinal rounds on Saturday. Finally, a big thank you to Pat Beebe, president of the Undergraduate Business Council, and his team of motivated Fisher student volunteers and hosts for their time and commitment.
