Putting Your Business Minor to Work for You!

Have you considered how you are going to "sell" your business minor to prospective employers? It is important for you to schedule an appointment with a staff member in your college's Career Services office* to discuss how you can best "market" your business minor in combination with your major.

Below is a list of additional ideas/resources for you. Take advantage of them!

  • Think about how the business minor will complement your major and for what kinds of jobs it will be valuable. Discuss this with a counselor in your college or with a career counselor at Career Connection, 2nd floor Younkin Success Center
  • Attend the career fairs on campus - there is usually one per quarter for all Ohio State students
  • Use monsterTRAK- the electronic job/internship posting web site for Ohio State students: www.monstertrak.com. Contact your college's Career Service office for the password
  • The Fisher College of Business Career Resource Center, 155 Gerlach Hall, which includes books and resources on career exploration and job hunting in business, as well as company files
  • The Fisher College of Business Career Services' web site, which has lots of information and resources: http://fisher.osu.edu/career/
  • The business cards of employers that recruit in the Fisher College of Business, available in the Career Resource Center or on our web site

*Students enrolled in colleges other than the Fisher College of Business cannot register with the Office of Career Services in the Fisher College of Business, but are invited to use the services identified above.
