Matriculating students, both new first quarter freshmen and transfer students, are required to register for a 1 credit “Business Survey” course taught by an academic counselor. The objectives of “Business Survey” are:
- To provide students with general curricular information.
- To help students get involved in business organizations, internships, study abroad programs and various other academic enrichment programs.
- To provide students with an understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the University including the policies and procedures necessary for a smooth transition into college life.
- To help students appreciate diversity and understand the personal, social, and intellectual changes they will experience.
- To help students appreciate the value of a college degree and the need for life-long learning.
