"Strategic Leadership: Business and the Public Policy Process"

This seminar is an intensive, one-week course repeated in six different sessions in Washington, D.C., providing participants with first-hand exposure to the political process and its impact on management. The Washington Campus seminars are designed to equip students with the understanding necessary to anticipate, influence, and respond intelligently to government initiatives. There are a limited number of seats per session, so it would be to your advantage to register for the seminar as early as possible. Read carefully for policies in effect for the Washington Campus program this year.
SESSIONS:
The 2009-2010 program dates are January 4-8, March 1-5, March 8-12, March 15-19, May 17-21, June 14-18, and September 13-17. Please note the application and payment deadlines located in the chart at the bottom of this page.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
- Students submit an online application form, non-refundable registration fee and Washington Campus tuition fee at http://www.washcampus.edu/index.php?src=events&category=MBA%20Courses
- Students need to submit a copy of the registration and payment confirmation email from Washington Campus to Jen Mercer. You can submit a paper copy to the Graduate Programs Office (100 Gerlach Hall), fax a copy to 614-292-9006 or e-mail a copy to mercer_100@fisher.osu.edu. If it is after office hours, place a copy of your confirmation in the GPO locked drop box in the 2nd floor mail room. Please note that if you wish to register for a seminar that is scheduled during class time, you must obtain permission from all class instructors to miss class. Please send documentation of this permission to Jen Mercer before you register for Washington Campus.
- There are several schools in the consortium and a limited number of seats per session. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The payment in full must be received by the registration deadline (listed below). If payment has not been received you may forfeit your space in the program. You can pay Washington Campus directly through PayPal or a check. You must submit proof of payment to Jen Mercer before she can register you for the course.
- The course is graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis.
TUITION CHARGES AND EXPENSES:
- Payment of the registration fee ($200) and Washington Campus tuition ($1,100) is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs. If payment has not been received, you may forfeit your space in the program.
- Students will be charged tuition through the University for this course as part of their course load. This is in addition to the tuition paid to Washington Campus. If the session falls during an academic quarter, the course must be registered during that quarter. For sessions between quarters, the quarter of course enrollment may be optional.
- Students are also responsible for paying their own travel, lodging, and incidental expenses.
