Sample Custom Program - Executive Education

Fisher College has presented a number of custom programs on a variety of topics. The following is a sample leadership program designed to combine action learning with competency-based curriculum.

Leadership Program
Course Goals

The following goals were set in partnership with the company based on an initial interview and survey assessment:

  • Develop and expand the leadership competencies of 120 current and aspiring company leaders by focusing on the competencies identified through a needs assessment of 350 individuals.

  • Improve the targeted leadership activities also identified in the survey by developing key skills and confidence of leaders.

  • Find ways for the company to enter and grow new markets by tapping into the expertise and creativity of leadership course participants.

  • Complete individual leadership development plans for all participants.

  • Generate specific, break-through plans on how to enter and grow new markets.

It's important to note two tangibles the company will have as a result of this training: First, a specific plan of action for each participant to develop their own individual leadership skills; and second, organization-specific plans for growing the company's business.

Leadership Competencies

The leadership program designed by Fisher College addresses each of the key competency areas defined through the assessment. The program content will be delivered through a combination of lecture, case study, group projects, team building activities and discussion.
