Triple Bottom Line Boot Camp - Executing Sustainable Business Practices

Date

June 19, 2008

What is the Triple Bottom Line?

The Triple Bottom Line is the metric of busness performance that takes into account People, Plane and Profit. It is the principle upon which the idea of sustainable business is founded. This is captured by Dow Jones in it definition of a sustainable enterprise: "a business approach that creates long-term shareholder value by embracing opportunities and managing risks that derive from economic, environmental and social developments."

Value Proposition

Attendees will learn the elements and benefits of triple bottom line measurements and operations as the pathway to greener business practices and, ultimately, sustainability. Experienced business executives from different industry sectors will relate their own challenges and successes with triple bottom line practices. Through a short “field trip” to the first green building on the OSU campus, attendees will learn the benefits and challenges of green building design and construction. A briefing packet with web-based references to recent and current reference materials on triple bottom line topics will be provided to each attendee.

Who Should Attend
