Overview:

The Fisher College of Business is pleased to offer this world-class training program for leaders of non-profit organizations. This certificate program is designed to help front-line managers support the organizational mission and implement successful day-to-day management strategies. Top Fisher College faculty will lead discussions in marketing, office efficiency, leadership, and finance.

  • How to identify and remove waste for office processes
  • Value Stream Mapping - a way to plan your improvements and how to measure them

Leadership/Human Resources - November 13, 2007 (8:00am-11:45am)

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting people who are a good fit for your organization
  • Building engagement, commitment, and "citizenship" to help retention of your organizational members
  • Fundamental concepts related to performance management and development
  • Practices and concepts related to great leadership

Finance/Accounting - January 15, 2008 (8:00am-1:00pm)
Instructor TBD - This session will include a lunch with keynote speaker.

  • Reading and understanding key financial statements
  • Learning how to properly define an organization's financial strengths and weaknesses
  • Preparing for audits: what you should keep and what you should know
Who Should Attend:

This program is intended for the day-to-day managers of non-profit organizations. Since you will be receiving a certificate of completion of the program, we ask that you attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions.

Cost:

As part of our community outreach and made possible by our supporting foundation and college leadership there are no fees for the program. Participants will be responsible for their own travel expenses.
