Management Business Classes - Fisher Business Education Series - Executive Education
2008 Fisher Business Education Series
Dates
February - December 2008
Overview Fisher Business Education Series (FBES)
In a competitive market, companies rely even more on managers to make sound business decisions and effectively manage people. Management skills can be learned and improved.
The Fisher College Fisher Business Education Series is a suite of one-day programs designed for managers to develop specific skills and competencies and advance others. Sessions are taught by nationally ranked faculty, with peer learning as an important element in the series. Faculty and experienced training and development professionals selected FBES courses, all of which are geared for improving performance as a manager. The courses are offered separately so managers can choose which courses are of greatest value. Those who complete five or more sessions will receive a certificate listing all completed sessions.
Benefit to the Employee and the Company
The Fisher Business Education Series enables you to create individual learning plans for managers needing specialized training in one or more areas of competency and/or management development. The program’s unique format allows you to send a group to a single session, or send one person to multiple sessions, based on any of the developmental topics being offered in the program.
Program Format
The FBES is a series of independent one-day courses that focus on competency areas critical to managers. These highly-interactive courses are scheduled monthly throughout the calendar year. The distinctive one-day program design enables candidates to practice and perfect skills taught in a single module prior to attending the next course. Or, if your candidate is attending one course they return to the job and may apply learning immediately — which is a powerful form of Level 3-4 ROI (based on the Kirkpatrick Model).
Instruction format includes case study, discussion and lecture, group exercises and role play. Each course is held at Fisher’s Executive Conference Center in Pfahl Hall
Who Should Attend
The Fisher Business Education Series is designed for manager-level individuals who are “rising stars” eager to get ahead and in general, individuals who want to:
- Sharpen and update their management skills
- Gain new business knowledge
- Exchange experiences
- Prepare themselves to advance in management positions
Instructors
Fisher College Executive Education faculty are award-winning educators, top researchers and well-published in their respective fields of study.
