The Pace Setter Awards

The Pace Setter Award

Annual award given to the college’s top students, who are selected on the basis of academic performance and demonstrated leadership ability. Nominated and voted on by faculty, staff, and peers, these undergraduates and graduate students receive certificates, pins, and scholarships at the spring ceremony.

Pace Setter Executive Award

Annual award given to a “pace setter” of the business community. The Executive Award is one of our most important awards, for it recognizes the ideals that we strive to instill in our students. As we help our students grow and develop, it is with the goal of having them someday be the future leaders that shape the world.

Daniel Westerbeck Teaching Excellence Award

The Daniel Westerbeck Teaching Excellence Award was established in 2000 with a gift from Daniel Westerbeck. The award recognizes two Fisher College faculty members, one who teaches at the undergraduate level and one who teaches at the graduate level, for teaching excellence, based on input from students.

The Bostic - Georges Faculty Service Awards

The Bostic-Georges Faculty Service Award was established in March 2002 with gifts from the Bostic Family of Columbus, Ohio; the Georges Family of Westerville, Ohio; and other friends and supporters. The award recognizes a Fisher College faculty member for exemplary service to the college and/or university community.

Robert E. Georges Senior Award

Awarded to a graduating senior in the college in recognition of both academic excellence and outstanding leadership. The award honors Robert Georges, retired Associate Dean of the College, and reflects his commitment to excellence.

Walter M. Rudin Junior Scholarship

Established in 1982, the Walter M. Rudin Junior Award is presented to the most outstanding undergraduate Junior in the College.

S. Maurice Bostic and Birch S. M. Bostic Memorial Awards

The Award is presented to the outstanding male member of the baccalaureate graduating class based on recognition of both academic excellence and outstanding leadership.

Katherine Porter Allen Prize

The Award is presented to the outstanding female graduate in business, based on both academic excellence and outstanding leadership.

Jack W. Stephens Award

Awarded to the student with outstanding scholarship, leadership and athletic accomplishments. Jack Stephenson was an alumnus with a high regard for the Fisher College and one who made substantial contributions to Ohio State’s athletic programs.
